Is Average Grading More Important Than Excellence?
Many teachers grade on a curve. They offer options to redo something that you missed or maybe you forgot. But the point of this is not to criticize average grading. There are plenty of other options for grading. Averageis averages are short cut for describing a large set of numbers in a very preductive way. Sometimes that reduction is actually a compression of meaningful and important information that shouldn't necessarily be compressed.
