To understand something emotionally, and to act and feel what some one else is feeling, you need stories. And for me, film and televisions being extremely powerful er towards truly understanding some one else's point of view on an emotional level. One thing that i don't think gets enough traction all when we're thinking about learning is the emotional dimension of it. When you have a very determinent experience at home with your family or friends, this can actually be even stronger than whatever specific methods or techniques you are using.
