The Halo Effect
The halo effect is the tendency for positive impressions of a person to positively influence one's opinions or feelings in another area. The effect was first documented back in the 1920s by Edward Formdike. It has been found to influence many areas of life, from job interviews to product reviews. And it doesn't just affect people, but companies, countries, products, brands and even pets.
