Over Imitation in Human Children

Recently, I've come across a study that talks about over imitation in human kids. So, the children who observe an adult manipulating an unfamiliar object show a strong tendency to encode all of the adult's purposeful actions as causally meaningful. And it's obvious and natural that this is a side effect of copying memes creatively instead of copying them by behavior parsing. Over copying is simply one kind of error.
