There are four behaviors, what they call the four horsemen of the apocalypse. A ar one, criticism, two, defensiveness, three, stone walling and four, contempt. Criticism does not mean that there's a no place for criticism in stable relationships. It has to do with how frequent and how intensely that criticism is voiced. Stone walling essentially meansa the emotional response, or the request of another, is completely cut off. And then contempt has actually been referred to as the sulphuric acid of relationship. I didn't say that, but gotman and colleagues have that it is such a powerful predictor of divorce and break up in the future.
