The Benefits of Participating in Marathons

There are many benefits to participating in races, even if it's not going to be your number one day. Sometimes you can safely continue to run, or maybe you can cross train through biking or some lower intensity activities. As coaches, we never want to encourage an athlete to do something that's going to put them in danger of possibly getting hurt or making something worse. But if it is that important to you, i would say that it's worth it.
