The opening song, "on the run," establishes a rhythm that Pink Floyd follows for a lot of this album. David Gilmore's vocals on the verse are more pushed and higher up in his register. The Rototams are these oddball drums that you can tune to extremely specific notes. Time has more of a solid groove than anything that's come before it.
