The Inquest of a Child Death
Inquest arose out of the death of a baby who very sadly died when he was only a few days old from what was initially thought by the clinicians treating him to be sepsis leading to shock and cardiac arrest. The court ultimately concluded that although the coroner's approach didn't justify a fresh inquest on the grounds of apparent bias alone it could not be denied that some of the questions were too assertive amounting to the setting out of propositions rather than questions or involved several questions and not one making it difficult for the witness to answer.
