The Importance of Cervical Motion Tenderness
PID is based on just having three criteria. You have cervical motion tenderness, uterine tenderness or you have an axial tenderness. All you need is any of those three and what's really important is it's any. Do you have any tips on performing the physical exam? Like how would you explain it to someone who maybe hasn't done this since med school? That's a great question. I think a lot of the time in med school PID equals cervicalmotion tenderness. Sure they have righted NEXA tenderness, but you're not going to call it PID. They have appendicitis. They need to go to the OR.
