High Fructose Corn Syrup

High fructose corn syrup is not the same as regular sucrose, both in animal studies and in humans. There are apparently 8.2 million tons of corn starch used in 2019 for high fructose corn syrup. In 2009, 0.005 to 0.570 micrograms of mercury were found per gram of highructose corn syrup.
