The u.K. has always had obligations to protect people's rights under the european convention since the fifties. The human rights act created a new responsibility on all public bodies, whether that schools, housing authorities, aani chest, trusts, you name it,. And it's been a transformative change in the way that public bodies run. But i think we have a kind of directionless, but fundamentally ideologically driven drive to repeal human rights protections that will ultimately leave us all worse off. Yesso, as i understand it, then, jen, we won't withdraw from the europeans Convention on Human Rights.
