1811 - Viscount Wellington of Talavera
Wellesley becomes wellington as a result of his victory at talavera. The french are basely left to starve in the northern part of the country because wellington has conducted this scorch earth policy. He's pretty much on parity with the local forces in the region, sere. But after all this is said and done, he becomes the duke of wellington - but that's where the name wellington comes from.
