Do We Know Much About Rural Communities?
We know a lot about the elite, the high status individualsandve about six major elites that have been excavated. What we don't know is what were rural communities like? And the archaeology of that has just not been done extensively. We ad know a little bit, but not much, not much. That is the main figure. Sometimes they're buried with their retainers and so forth and so on. But in many ways, to these seems actually to be more important.
