The Conservative Government's Budget Is in a Historic Position
Minister, as you head into budget day, your government finds itself in a historic position that very few Labour governments have ever had. We are seeing some short term improvement to the budget largely because of the things we sell overseas. So what we're trying to do in this budget is meet cost of living pressures where we can with a affordable package and do some fiscal discipline. Greens leader Adam Bant says the Greens still want to negotiate with the government on its fund to build social and affordable housing. Chief Commissioner of Police Shane Patton has apologised unreservedly at hearings of the state's truth-telling inquiry.
