Japan's Demographic Issues
Japan's population is now declining by 750,000 a year and rising. Nearly 30% of the population are over the age of 65 with more than 75,000 centenarians. That has an impact on voting patterns as well as employment in Japan. It also affects public finances because it has fewer taxpayers and more pensioners.
