Having a Map in a Video Game Can Be a Challenge

Breath of the Wild is just so darn empty that like I'm gonna be a hundred percent honest I almost forgot that there was a map until you just mentioned it to me. Skyrim would have really benefited from giving you a world to fully explore maybe not having a map that just shows you where everything is at from the get-go. Once you've completed that map you've now got yourself like grounded in the world a lot better which is something we can't do with like a book medium but we can with stuff like table tops and video games.
