Is It Depression or a D H G?

I'mi, i'm a woman in my forties. I was diagnosed with depression as a kid and then anxiety as an adult. My son was recently diagnosed with a d h g. And now i'm wondering if my diagnosis was really a co morbidity of a d h d. However, i'm high teating. How do i know if it's depression or a d d, maybe both?
