There's this stereotype about Habermas that he's interested in somehow dispassionate, reasonable conversation. And it's just not in the works of Jürgen Habermas. So his idea of a deliberation in society is not that you gather a representative sample of people together and have a conversation. His idea is that by squatting and occupying housing in Berlin in the 1960s, you forced a conversation to take place.
