How Did You Come to Vera?

When he was a summer intern at Vera in 1995, Doris Meisner knocked on the door to talk about getting people out of detention. At that point in time, Vera was still mostly New York City focused and essentially operating as an incubator running demonstration projects. So I wanted to come back to Vera. And I ended up joining to really build out more of the national work. It's one of the modern iterations of our national work that we do a lot of now.
