The Importance of Salary Packaging
Salary packaging is when you arrange to receive less income tax. It can fall into three different categories: fringe benefits, exempt benefits and superannuation. Most employers will offer salary sacrifice to super, but most will actually restrict the benefits of salary packaging in general because it's a lot of admin. However, I think a lot of people use their salary packaging as an excuse to overspend on things that they wouldn't have if the money was in their bank account.
