How Did the Indians Remove Hair?

In the early 19th century, women started removing hair from their armpits and some of em were starting to remove it from their legs. The idea that only those strange other native people would do this practice too was completely flipped upside own. It's not just interesting because it makes this kind of 180 degree shift, but that eveybody gote on board with something that takes so much time,. So that's the part i got interested in, and what the story i was trying to tell in the book.
