The Legend of Elizabeth Masters
In 1674, a woman on board the ship Mary Leary discovered bruises along her lower back, hips and buttocks. She was convinced that it was the witch's doing, but she also had an idea for a helpful remedy. Word of Elizabeth's healing blood spread among everyone on board. Pretty soon, sick and injured passengers were pricking the witch with knives and needles,. drawing a bit of her magical blood to smear on themselves. What became of them, though? We don't know; we may never get the answer.
