The Relationship Between Real Lack and Alienation

In seminar 11, Lacan talks about the way that society genders us and sexualizes us by forcing us into these binary categories. He's talking about how this is a socially constructed experience. The signifier in this sense allows for the death of the thing, not dosting, but the death of stuff. Here though, we're seeing a different relation to death with the idea of wrong mortality.
