On today’s episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with bestselling author and world renowned speaker, Dr. Gabor Maté. An expert in trauma and addiction, Dr. Mate illuminates the vastly overlooked connection between trauma, stress, and disease that research has proven time and time again. In a quest to better understand ourselves and our behaviors, we take a glimpse at our founder, Danielle Duboise’s own childhood as an example of understanding and relating to the trauma and coping mechanisms that we learn as children– and how they carry into adulthood.
