The author co-wrote a book called Why Women Have Sex, Understanding Sexual Motivations From Adventure to Revenge. He credits his friend and colleague Cindy Meastin for coming up with the idea of why women have sex. "Female sexuality has a different sexual psychology than males," he says.

David Buss is an evolutionary psychologist at UT Austin. He is one of the founders of the field of evolutionary psychology.
