The I Know It All Along Effect
The hindsight bias comes into play where after we've made a decision or taken a course of action, if things pan out one way or the other. Kahneman says that many psychologists have really studied what happens when people change their mind. And they found it's really impossible for us to reconstruct our former beliefs. In attempts to do so, we just retrieve our current beliefs instead.
