Using Go's Garbage Collector to Reduce Latency
Go's garbage collector is actually well known for being very good. We're respecting the application very, and doing its best to kind of stay out of the way. So the rust-free light actually had two effects. One, we had less memory usage overall, which goes to the earlier point. But what we're talking about now is the latency. There was even at P99 point, whatever it is, they never had these latency spikes. And so actually, the user experience suddenly becomes much better.
