Why High Cholesterol Causes Heart Disease

The FDA is now saying that high-oleic oils are the healthiest option. We're spurred along by Dela Reals' Leon Diet Study, which didn't use olive oil but showed a huge benefit compared to polyunsaturated fats. And of course they were also concerned about vegetable oils promoting LDL oxidation. It's hard to know motives, but it really seems like when my grandparents grew up, they were told corn oil was good for you and it'll lower your risk of heart disease. No one says that anymore.
