Don't assume. Start out with this is what I think and then allow yourself a moment in space to say, do I actually agree with myself? Am I seeing clearly? Do I have rose colored glasses on, charcoal colored glasses on? Am I near sighted or far sighted? So for example, if you're in a subject matter expert role, you can see things up near really, really well but may not have the hundred mile view that a CEO does. And so it's knowing what your strength is and how to balance it.
