In general, the Chinese women are looking for a nice guy. So someone who is loyal and caring and loving and open to marrying women their own age. They also want someone who's a good provider who's going to be willing to take on the breadwinner role in the marriage and practice chivalry. In post-reform China where masculinity is actually tied to bed-winning, a lot of women lost interest in their Western suitors when they travel China face-to-face.
