There's an element of the commodity all along. I mean, you know, edgar allan poe was writing for a newspaper and he would write extreme story s or create hoaxes because they they worked. So that doesn't mean that that whole experiment is reduced to nothing but raw material for this late stage digital capitalism. That's a kind of trite reading that you find sometimes on the left, often from europe, which i think is really silly. But there's certainly a truth to it. And in that sense, there's just no out of the dynamic.
