The Role of Humanity in Education

Teachers have a lot of symbolic power, but think of it, how destructive it can be if you have teachers who are teaching you the wrong lessons. Then it's very hard to dupe them or convince them that whatever may not be in their best interest when it's offered as being in their best interests. Maybe we need to teach our students,. you know, how to think democratically, how toThink critically of their own leaders, of their own culture. And in all the cases, then the kind of peragogy that is absolutely necessary for that is a peragogy which is informed, that is compassionate and that is more than just the text.
