Eric Clapton: I used to feel guilty as musicians, you really should be practicing. In ballet class they were very much, don't practice. You're going to do it wrong. So I started listening to classical music and I started reading about it. And so there I get really into Joseph Kerman and Charles Rose's books that tie Beethoven in with everything in European history.
