Is There Still Suffering?
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't reflect on everything I lost, everything I left behind. This is a time of survival. We have little money, very little certainty. In telling this story, giving it shape, the people and places become real to me again. There is still sorrow, but there is life too. My home was taken from me. The loss of that feels unbearable.
