How Much Protein Do We Need?
How much protein do we need? It can vary a lot based on age, activity level. I personally aim for a gram of protein per pound of body weight or more per day. Some sources recommend up to 1.6 to 1.8 grams per pound if you are trying to build muscle and lose fat without losing muscle. There is no long term storage site for amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein.
