The first book was masters of doom, and that actually grew out of the coverds that i was doing um on gaming at at spin and elsewhere. It actually started with that article about the quake clans and am ya. And then i spent a couple of years reporting that, a, moving down to dallas, a, interviewing all of them and writing their story,. h which ended up being a very far reaching story That's still rippling now, rippling through, um, the culture now.
