The Power of Humor

I think it's one of those blessings in disguise that I developed a sense of humor and a quick wit because growing up gay in rural Pennsylvania where you're a practically mom. My high school was very hunting and wrestling and football. And for me, it was such a blessing because I realized if I could be the class clown or if I can deflect by calling somebody else out or making something funny, then I would be safe.
