Is Your Child Rejecting You? I Don't Want You to Wait for Me

I witnessed an incident where a boy in her class that she kept trying to engage with was almost recoiling. I tried to tell her that sometimes people just want to be by themselves and that it's okay, because I know, as you say, all feelings are welcome. She told me she felt sad. And I said, I know this boy is entitled to his feelings. But what do I say to my daughter when this continuously happens? My heart breaks.
