The Risks of AI
Hinton says he believes Google has acted very responsibly, but he told the New York Times that the competition between Bing's chatbot and Google's Bard has him worried. Hinton fears that AI could eliminate jobs and possibly the need for humanity itself as AI can write and run its own code. He also thinks scientists should be working just as hard on ways to control AI.
