The Soul of Jack Welch

Jack Welch pursued a PhD to impress airlines, stewardesses. He never thinks about science really in any meaningful way other than how to like monetize it. The only time he talks about doing science in his entire autobiography is to mention that while he was working on his thesis, this was the most important thing in his life. That says something about the man that is impressive. It's not good, but it's impressive.
