Learning to Read - Is There Any Circuit for Reading?
Reading is such a new sort of tool that our species has discovered. And so we've had to use circuits that already exist that evolved in order to be able to read. That can cause a lot of problems for people who are unable to learn to read in the traditional way. But when we scan the brain of readers, we find that it's always the same areas of the brain that are working even in different languages.
