Every state is asking to bar Donald Trump from office. Would it be logical or fair for secretaries of state to come to that conclusion before the actual prosecutors looking at his behavior come to their conclusions? Well, it is fair because they're independent things, right? That is, you don't need a criminal indictment or a conviction to bar someone under section three. None of the former Confederates were convicted of any crimes when they were excluded from office.
