The Fookyness of American History
The federal government accounts for money it loans to students for college. That money that the federal government borrows and then turns around to loan to the student, it does not count as government debt. It's exactly like suppose you took out a car loan, $50,000 you bought a really nice car that you're going to use as an Uber. And you claim that because you're using this $50k car as an investment, the money that you borrowed shouldn't count as debt.
