We hear about the devastation, but not amount of people actually see it first hand. We cannot be with the ones we love when they are sick. We can't be with them when they are dying. The waiting for funeral homes to prepare for dead bodies is weeks away. And this is if someone had said three months ago that there was going to be hospital tents in central park,. and people would not be able to cope. Ive been doing volunteer counselling as well as helping people create coping mechanisms because recovery is a vignette made into bad fiction. So i've been very focused on creating positive coping mechanisms - which has helped me so far.
