The Importance of Understanding Drug Addiction

You said a long time ago, it's easier to understand drug addiction than alcoholism. I find that really interesting because while having a heroin addiction can take everything from you and leave you homeless, an alcoholism can't. And I think we're getting better at understanding alcoholism, but probably still do understand serious drug addiction over alcoholism. You know, maybe there are functioning heroin addicts that we don't know about who managed to just keep it down.
