The Borderline Personality

They're combative and suspicious nature really can elicit a hostile response from other people. And, you know, which then confirms their original expectations. So this is where it gets difficult to treat because they already come across as distrustful, sarcastic, stubborn, hostile. That disposition is generally not going to elicit a warm response in a social interaction. They have an excessive need to be self-sufficient and a strong need for autonomy. These are the kind of population who are building bunkers under their ground for number one, I think Y2K.
