Why People Believe the World Is Getting Worse

66% of americans believe the world is getting worse. Six % believes the world's getting better. Why? Part of it has to do with the news. Good things tend to happen over a very long time, and gradually, bad things tends to happen very quickly. Also, i think that it's probably fair to say that we have evolved to be pessimistic.
