The Revolution of 1830 Is Not the Most Conservative of All the Revolutions

Belivar, a lot like Cromwell in Washington, but not like Bonaparte or Louverture, was forever thinking he would be able to set down his dictatorial authority. Now the revolution of 1830 is maybe even more than the American Revolution is probably the most conservative of all the revolutions we've talked about. The leader on the white horse who comes riding into restore order in July of 1830 is Louis Philippe. But it's not like he was ever anything resembling a dictator in any meaningful sense of that word.
