i view every as a form of investment, right? Even if i'm not investing my money, i'm investing my time. So when i realized that i probably wasn't going to be cut out for finance, i actually took a a year where i was not in finance, but i joined. And then i quit and learn to code. That's how i got picked up by two sigma in new york city. They ended up completely not at all using my finance career whatoever. But it's a story that you can tell to get the job.
