The History of the Azerys and the Turks

Pope Francis has quoted the word genocide in referring to mass killings of Armenians a hundred years ago under Ottoman rule in World War One. The European Parliament and more than 20 countries recognize it as genocide. Ankara has consistently denied that the killings were genocide and strongly protested when the Pope used the term two years ago.
